What is the difference between booking a venue and a retreat?
Booking a venue gives retreat leaders and wellness professionals exclusive access to a property to host their own clients. Booking a retreat means you are purchasing a ticket as a guest to attend a fully curated wellness experience organized by one of our trusted practitioner partners.
Do I need to be an experienced yogi to attend a retreat?
Not at all. Most of our retreats are designed to be inclusive and offer modifications for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. Always check the specific retreat page, as the focus and level will be clearly described.
Can I hire a venue exclusively for my own retreat group?
Yes, all the properties listed in our Venue portfolio are available for exclusive private hire. They have been specially vetted to ensure they have the necessary dedicated spaces (like yoga shalas) and tranquil environments required for a successful retreat.
Tell me about the food provided at your retreat venues.
Nutrition is a cornerstone of the Inspired Retreats experience. Our venues and retreats prioritize wholesome, locally sourced, and deeply nourishing cuisine. Most menus are plant-based, vegetarian, or pescatarian, designed to support your wellness journey.
Do you cater to severe allergies and dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. Our retreat chefs are highly skilled at accommodating gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and specific allergy requirements. Please inform us of your needs at the time of booking so the kitchen can prepare appropriately.
Are flights and transfers included in the retreat price?
Flights are generally not included in the retreat ticket price. However, group airport transfers at specific times are often included or can be arranged for an additional fee. Refer to the specific retreat inclusions for exact details.
What is the typical daily schedule on a retreat?
A typical day usually begins with a morning movement or yoga practice, followed by a healthy brunch. The afternoon may offer free time to explore, read, or enjoy spa treatments, followed by a deeply restorative evening practice and a communal dinner.
Can I attend a retreat on my own?
Yes! The vast majority of our retreat guests travel solo. Retreats offer a beautiful, supportive environment to disconnect, reset, and meet a wonderful community of like-minded people.
What level of privacy do your venues offer?
We carefully select our venues for their seclusion and tranquility. Whether it's a private estate in the Tuscan hills or a hidden villa in Bali, our properties offer an intimate, undisturbed sanctuary for deep relaxation.
Do your venues provide yoga mats and props?
Yes, all of our certified retreat venues are fully equipped with high-quality yoga mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer, but it is not necessary.
Are spa treatments or massages included?
While some premium retreats include a welcome massage in the ticket price, spa treatments are usually offered as an optional extra. Our venues have dedicated treatment rooms and partner with exceptional local therapists.
Do I need to participate in all scheduled activities?
Absolutely not. The retreat is your time to heal and recharge. Everything is completely optional. If you prefer to sleep in or spend the afternoon reading by the pool instead of joining a workshop, you are entirely free to do so.
How do I pay for my retreat or venue booking?
Bookings are securely processed online. We typically require a deposit to secure your space or venue dates, with the remaining balance due 60 to 90 days prior to the start date. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers.
What happens if I need to cancel my retreat booking?
Our cancellation policies vary slightly depending on the specific retreat and venue constraints. Generally, deposits are non-refundable. We strongly advise all guests to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation.
Can I bring my partner if they don't want to do yoga?
Yes. Many of our venues are located in stunning locations with plenty of alternative activities like hiking, surfing, or exploring local villages. Non-participating partners are welcome to join for the food, location, and relaxation.
Is there WiFi at your retreat venues?
Most of our venues offer WiFi, though we often encourage a digital detox to help you fully disconnect. In some of our more remote, off-grid locations, internet access may be limited or intentionally absent.
Are children allowed at the wellness retreats?
Our scheduled wellness retreats are exclusively for adults (18+) to maintain a peaceful, restorative environment. However, if you are hiring a venue privately for your own group, children are absolutely welcome.
What should I pack for a wellness retreat?
Comfort is key. Pack breathable yoga or activewear, comfortable loungewear, swimwear, a refillable water bottle, and a journal. A specific packing list tailored to the climate of your destination will be sent before departure.
